AutoMarks V0.2
The Location bar currently uses data in your history to perform auto-complete of urls as you type them in. If you dont have much history, the autocomplete feature starves and provides you little or no results. This extension allows you to add your bookmarks so they are included in the Autocomplete search.
How to use:
In Firefox:
In the Bookmarks menu, select the Copy bookmarks to Autocomplete.
It will prompt you to confirm, then proceed with the transfer.
In Mozilla:
In the Tools menu, select the Copy bookmarks to Autocomplete.
It will prompt you to confirm, then proceed with the transfer.
Once your bookmarks are transferred, just use the location bar as usual.
What's new: It has been updated to work with Firefox 1.5+
Has not been tested with new versions of mozilla if any issues please leve a comment here and I'll look into it.
Install URL: Install AutoMarks 0.2
Jul 2008 NOTE: AutoMarks is DEAD. Firefox 3.0 now does this out of the box.(We recommend you upgrade to Firefox 3.0)

Firefox 2.0 compatibility?
Amanuel, hello. This is a fantastic extension, and I have used it almost since the time I first switched over to using Firefox.
However... It has been almost 9 months since you said that you plan to update this extension and give it compatibility with Firefox 2.0. I just want to know if you still plan to do so, because this extension is one of my main reasons for continuing to hold off on updating to Firefox 2.0. Please, let me know if you do or do not still plan to update it. Thank you.
automarks for FF 2.0.0.3
I think i found the solution: when ull install the *.xpi file, choose "override maxversion compatibility checking". Its working all right for me now. The only problem is that there will be no confirmation that the bookmarks were really copied to autocomplete, but i checked and the bookmarks were indeed copied. I suppose for everybody it will work, too. Regards

Italian localization of AutoMarks
Hello, I've created the locale structure (to make easier translation in other languages) for your extension and I would like to send it to you, but I did not manage to find your email address. I'd be very glad if you contact contact me.
Two considerations about your useful extension:
1) It does seem to work under Firefox 2.0.0.* but
2) The "successful" message doesn't show (this problem was already noticed)

New Updates
Simon,
I've been too busy to post any updates to this extension, so I'd welcome any help you might offer. I plan to release an update to it to ensure FF 2.0 compatibility.
For 0.3 I also plan to improve the speed of the app, as it has become very very slow since FF 1.5.
Cheers.
Amanuel
AutoMarks 0.2 UPDATE ?
GREAT little extension !
Have there been any updates to this since .2 ?
Can't find anything. If Amanuel is still on the ether, do you want to do an update to fix finding all URL's in the bookmarks ?
I'd even be happy to make contribution for the effort.
If it doesnt catch all bookmarks
If it seems this extension doesnt catch all bookmarks and you dont get the sucess message, then it's usually because one (or more) url is not correct in your bookmarks (no http:// or such). It can happen sometimes, try to find wich one
To the author > this extension is great, but to avoir above problem, you should try to add some try / catch to avoid incorrect url, i added one around line ("var newURI = ioService.newURI(newurl, null, null);") to correct and find the bad url.
Automarks 0.1 & 0.2 not work
Hi.
I'm user of Seamonkey 1.0
I couldn't manage to make automarks works.
- No extension except this is installed.
- Have set history to at least 1 day or more.
- In the bookmark panel, most of my bookmarks are placed in folders, but there're also a few bookmarks which are not placed in folders.
After I pressed "copy bookmarks to autocomplete", I tried to type in location bar, nothing happened. When I opened the "history" panel, it was empty.
I have tried both automarks 0.1 & 0.2 in vain!
Any help is appreciated!
